Scout KS-30A stainless steel antenna is tuned to AIS frequencies and designed specifically for sailing boat automated tracking systems. The marine antenna is extremely light and flexible.
It measures 90cm long with an electropolished stainless steel whip. The AIS antenna features a high gloss, ice white finish with anti-UV filter to prevent colour deterioration.
The 3db stainless steel antenna comes with a heavy duty 3mm thick electropolished stainless steel bracket for secure masthead installation, and a SO 239 connector to complete the installation.

AIS stands for Automatic Identification System, which is an automated tracking system used on ships and by Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) for identifying and locating vessels by electronically exchanging data with other nearby ships and VTS stations. AIS transponders use two different frequencies; VHF maritime channels 87B (161.975 MHz) and 88B (162.025 MHz).
