The Scout NAV-6 GPS and GLONASS antenna is specially designed for the marine environment. It combines a high performance GPS patch antenna and a 24dB low-noise amplifier into a compact waterproof antenna.
You can connect the NAV-6 antenna to a GPS or GLONASS receiver to improve the reception signal when the GPS unit doesn't have a good view of the sky and the internal antenna doesn't perform well. It minimises intermittent loss of signal during navigation and maintains the best possible accuracy.
This marine GPS antenna is also suitable for use with the most popular AIS transponders on the market with a TNC connector.
The 24db antenna is supplied complete with a deck mount, mounting set and a 10 metre (33') RG-58 cable with TNC male connectors. It also features standard 1" x 14 threads for pole mounting.
Voltage Supply: 2.7V - 5.5V
Current: 15mA to 25mA
LNA Gain: 24 dB at 5V / 23 dB at 3V
Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C
Polarisation: RHCP
GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System) is a radio-based satellite navigation system operated by the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces. It both complements and provides an alternative to the United States' Global Positioning System (GPS) and is the only alternative navigational system in operation with global coverage and of comparable precision. NAV-6 is capable of receiving and processing GLONASS signals.
