Owatrol Gelcoat and Surface Restorer is a specialised oil designed to refresh the colour and appearance of gelcoat, plastic, and metal surfaces, making it an ideal choice for various applications such as boat hulls, portholes, rigging, masts, spars, tiles, and more.
Its versatility extends to both horizontal and vertical surfaces, including fiberglass (GRP) surfaces.
This restorer eliminates the necessity for traditional surface treatments like waxes and polishes by efficiently penetrating the gelcoat surface, renewing pigments that might have dulled or faded due to exposure to the elements.
The application process is simple using a cloth or a soft brush, and the product boasts a quick drying time of only 10 minutes.
Post-application, this product transforms into a durable, long-lasting, and flexible finish that effectively withstands environmental factors such as UV rays and weathering.
To achieve optimal results, thorough surface preparation is imperative. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Comprehensive removal of any prior coatings is essential, and addressing mildew, if present, is recommended.
After use, tools can be easily cleaned with white spirit. Caution should be exercised when disposing of materials soaked in the product, as they may pose a fire hazard if not handled properly.
Additional application details include a recommended temperature range of +5°C to +35°C, advising against direct sunlight and hot surfaces during application, and the swift removal of excess product to prevent film formation on the surface.
Please note: This product is specifically designed for pigmented surfaces and should not be used on white surfaces.
