Lowrance HELM-1 is a complete autopilot drive unit for cable-steered vessels, and replaces your existing manual helm drive behind the dash. The HELM-1 is designed for easy installation and retrofitting, it features an integrated rudder feedback sensor and is plug-and-play compatible with NAC-1 and NAC-2 autopilot computers.
Accurate Steering Performance - The HELM-1 uses minor incremental adjustments to provide a smooth auto-steering experience. The NAC-1 and NAC-2 autopilot computers are designed to work seamlessly with the HELM-1 to provide precise and accurate heading control.
Simple to Retrofit - The HELM-1 replaces your existing manual helm drive unit out of sight behind the dash, and is compatible with existing Morse 290, Morse 304411, and Teleflex SSC52 steering cables. Plug-and-socket connectors link the HELM-1 to your autopilot computer with no complex terminal wiring.
Integrated Rudder Feedback - One of the most time-consuming tasks when installing an autopilot system can be fitting a feedback sensor to your rudder or outboard. The HELM-1 eliminates this task entirely, by including an integrated feedback sensor within the helm drive itself.
